I do plan to play Story mods, I'm just unaware of any of them. I do think they have their appeal but admittingly most of it is say, getting to play as Monolith or Military for me. Give me a good story mod, not the same thing over and over with a different coat of paint. If you know how STALKER works and disregard the pointless variable changes and item bloat many of these mods add, you can get the best equipment after two days at most. Who would prefer make-belive over actually well thought out missions that are tailored by the creator instead of dozens of fetch quests and other similarly "factory made" side missions?Īnd finally, every single freeroam / ""HARDCORE"" mod is piss easy, every single one. The whole "you make your own goals / adventures" arguement is pretty absurd too. What's the point of roaming an empty Zone without a goal or doing the same things over and over when there are many great story mods with actual purpose? I can only tolerate those type of mods a couple of days. Misery, Anomaly, CoC (and its other countless variants) etc. Originally posted by PsyWarVeteran:People tend to follow the herd, tried and true fact. Because every factions you chose plays exactly the same. It is kind of weird, it has mechanics of an MMORPG some sort withojt the Multiplayer aspect and the RPG aspect. What should i imagine ? I mean it's not some sort of D&D, it's just an FPS in an "open world" with stuff that keeps you busy. I think, it has nothing to do with imagination. If that's Something you don't want to do, go home. See it's the point on Forums to discuss subjects. I mostly liked your opinion until the point: Don't complain on forums. If you don't have the imagination to to do so, play the originals and don't complain on the forums Find Strelok or play as a random stalker and make your own story. ![]() And Anomaly does have a story mode of sorts. There is no such thing as THE stalker experience, but i think Anomaly is the THE free roam experience. Misery still sucks IMO (haven't played the newest version, though 2.0 sucked ass), but Anomaly is a great mod because you can mod and tweak it for the experience you want. It was an easy mod when you learned how to work around the stupidly accurate and sixth-sensed AI and the game economy which was absurd, a loaf of bread costing the same as a gun or some other stuff like thatĪnomaly smooths out most of the issues that Misery had and adds lots. Originally posted by Harald Haggaaja:I didn't like Misery because the difficulty was artificial. Is that what will happen? Is Anomaly now the ultimate Stalker game? They are the most hardcore mods for the most hardcore stalker players11!1!1!1 remember jts just MISERY WITH "QUALITY OF LIFE" /s It was once stalker now its sth else like escape from tarkov or whatever with massive survival stuff going on and crafting everywhere MMORPG They are not "easy". A misery based mod js NOW THE STALKER experience ? ♥♥♥♥♥♥ with me. And people that always liked misery ( me incl. Pre anomaly and pre dead air guys we all remember the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on Misery here. everywhere I read: yea go play anomaly, it's so good, its 64 bit blabla, it has 300 difficulty settings and QOL ( lmfao ).Īnd. We have a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of CoC Iterations as well. They made me YET again play though CoP once more.īut. Just another gameplay option out there to spend more time playin my favorite FPS.īut what do we have now? At this point, let me tell THANKS for people like the gunslinger devs. Also, a "sandbox" experience wasn't bad either. I can remember 2016(?) Or 2015 when CoC came out i really liked the idea behind that. To this day, AMK AE and Misery with TAZ are my most favorite mods.
